What is Pro Bono Consulting?
We define Pro Bono consulting as solving a specified problem within a structured project environment with clearly defined dates, deliverables and stakeholders. The projects can vary in nature and length and could be related to any core business function in multiple different capacities ranging from strategy definition to strategy implementation. By Pro Bono we mean to say that this is offered free-of-charge in order to ensure organizations are able to access the often costly consulting services. Regardless of this being offered free-of-charge, organizations can expect to receive the highest level of professionalism and quality.
How does it all work?
After receiving your application, the Flywheel Operations team will conduct a thorough review in order to fully scope the project to ensure complete alignment on dates, approach and deliverables. From there, we will match you to a team of young professionals with relevant experience who will be responsible for delivering the project. Throughout the engagement both the Flywheel Operations team and Flywheel Project team will remain in constant communication with you to ensure that we are delivering on the set scope.
How do I know if my project application is "good enough"?
We are here to support you throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. Therefore, at any point in your application if you have questions we are more than willing to help.
What is the average project duration?
In order to effectively manage scope expectations and volunteer commitments, the average project life cycle may range from 4 - 12 weeks, with the possibility for extension as needed.
Can organizations outside of Calgary apply?
Yes! We are able to provide consulting services "in person" to organizations in both Calgary and Edmonton. For those organizations outside of these cities, we are able to provide remote consulting services at this time (ie. via Google Hangouts, Zoom etc.).
